This coin was given to me from Tyler Blank, my friend since 1994, when we moved to Euegne, Oregon to start school. It was a wonderful time in a wonderful place. Since then we haven't often been in the same physical location, but we have shared mental locations, regularly.
Far away from the green valley of Eugene, i find myself in the concrete jungle of New York City. i am going to grad school for nonprofit management, and have met many giving friends that i've made here through classes.
My intention for coin 37, initially is to have its name changed. It is not just a number, it is an entity. And for this coin, my hopes for it are is two-fold: broad scope and far reaching. i hope that it will be spread to people who can help others on a broad scale and that it travels thousands of miles. From oversight of organizations that focus on helping people, to people in the far reaches of the Earth. Executive directors in New York City to children playing in Turkey; fundraisers in Mexico City to gardeners in Oregon, teachers in Kenya to travelers in New Zealand, and beyond.
In honor of my school, i dub this coin, 'Milano'. Milano is full of good people, and because it shares its name with a city in Italy i feel this will help this coin on an international journey that reaches many people of many cultures.
I plan on giving coin Milano to a friend and classmate who is a very compassionate person and an international student. We have been classmates, and have worked together over the summer at HDC, the City arm that finances affordable housing for low-income and working class families in all regions of NYC. We have helped each other out many times already, but after enjoying the coin's energy for too long, Milano is begging to begin its journey.
My advice for all who receive coin Milano is to enjoy the coin, and pass it on. It is heavy and good rolling; all it needs is momentum.

I just turned 35 on January 31 which is part of the reason I birthed coin 35. The number also resolves on 8 (3+5) which is the number if infinity...and I see this coin beginning a never ending cycle of generosity and connection with schools and yoga.
More coming soon after we arrive in Florianopolis.
