Coin # 111

This Coin was Birthed by Jill Beamers of Solana Beach, California

as part of Her Birthday Playformance, "Infusing the Giving Coin",

a Power to the Playful Project... - June 1, 2008 -

On the 1st of June the giving coin #111 was infused by our local community with the energies of: celebration, playfulness, joy, embodiment, grace, kindness, faith, generosity, creativity, fluidity, love, unity and imagination. Our intention is to have this love spread all over the world, one creative being to the next. May these energies increase with each gifting.

Coin # 112

This Coin Birthed by Mike Gross of Los Angeles, California - February 2008 -

I'd like this to be a coin of gratitude. I'd like the bearer to give it to someone who they want to thank, but haven't yet taken the opportunity to thank. I am going to give this to my cousin Lee who has always been so supportive of me and my writing. I've never really taken the opportunity to thank him for always being so genuinely interested in what is going on with me, for always being so encouraging. There are countless examples of his support of me and general and of my writing, but what comes to mind now is Lee sending me a book about Neil Simon, driving up to Washington D.C. to see the play I wrote, and really spending a great deal of time poring over some of the more cryptic pieces in my thesis. What a wonderful gift to have an influence like that in my life. Thank you Lee.

I'd like this to be a coin of faith and encouragement. I'd like the bearer to give it to someone he or she has faith in, someone the bearer wishes to encourage to never quit. I am going to give this to a previous student named Laura. I have a lot of faith in her intelligence, compassion and wisdom. I want to encourage her to never give up on herself. Right now she wants to be a teacher. I think she would make a wonderful teacher. I give this coin to her as a testament of my faith in her and as a reminder to be resilient.

This coin is simply a reminder of inner strength and a wish. I want the bearer to give this coin to someone who they wish to remind of their strength. I am going to give this to a student who I know has a lot of personal power, not just in the form of talent and intelligence, but wisdom, compassion. I want this student to never forget her own power and the importance of being true to herself and the importance of trust. Sounds trite, but this kind of faith is important and enduring. The coin is passed on, but let the wish stay here as a reminder.
