I woke up today and realized that I what I long for is support.

And then... just a few hours later, I saw one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. I would like to call her Luce di Notte... because I believe she could illuminate the night with her heart alone.

I love her. I don't know where this love has come from... but somewhere inside of me... my chest flew open making my heart vibrate at a pitch which has begun a song of boundless inspiration.

We hugged.

She listened to every story I shared so aerobically, that I could feel every word being received with an excitement and interest I had not seen before.

We walked. We drove... We shopped... we deliberated. All with ease. Like two birds gliding in the sky.

Suddenly, a surprise appeared.

It was a sweet little snuggle so warm and cozy... like when you have had the most deliciously perfect sleep.

It was an act of generosity I had not experienced before. She told me that I have been a spark of energy that has supported her and given her encouragement and because of these little things, she wanted to give me this amazing gift.

Gratitude is so inadequate at times. And yet, this gratitude is one that has become a bridge from woman to woman. It flows back and forth and it is something I will draw upon any time I feel like I am carrying more than I think I can bear.

She has reminded me of the things that matter most to me.

I will always be thankful to my beautiful friend for showering me with love and teaching me the true meaning of generosity.
