Coin #012 found me on Maui. I was visiting the island for a few weeks, though I lived in San Francisco. I had been lucky enough to be a part of the birthing/blessing ceremony in Berkely a few weeks prior to my trip, but had learned about this project a few days before and by that time, all 108 original coins had been spoken for. I was inspired by the ceremony and had expressed my intention of birthing a coin once more were minted. A month later, I found myself at an acro potluck on maui where Tyler remembered that I'd wanted a coin. It had turned out that #012 had not been claimed and needed a mama :) It felt really special to resonate with a coin that had been blessed and juiced up in the ceremony I'd been a part of. Anyway, over the next 2 months after being reunited with the coin a whirlwind of events ensued and I ended up moving to Maui. This means the coin has already been to paradise twice, which can't be bad for the vibrational quality! I arrived a few days ago and am now infusing the coin with warm, focused, healing love energy in preparation for it's coming departure out into the world... I will post again when that time comes...Many thanks and enormous hugs to Tyler. You are a blessing.
I was on this site a few days ago, looking over my first post here from when I had just received coin #12. The coin had been on my altar for a year! I felt a bit of guilt over not having yet passed the coin on, which is the whole beautiful point. Today I know why it had to stay with me for as long as it did.... I am currently living on Maui in a beautiful home on the north shore. The house I live in is affectionately known in this community as "the Ram Dass house" because Ram Dass lived here before us and many in the community have fond memories of amazing workshops and deep heart opening kirtans in our living room (the Beach Boys didn't know from Good Vibrations!). I came home from work a few days ago to find a large package on our doorstep addressed to a Richard Alpert (aka Ram Dass) with a phone number. I called and a lovely woman answered, telling me that yes, they were expecting a package and that it was a birthday gift. I offered to drop it by their home the next evening after work. I decided that night that I wanted to pass my coin to Ram Dass. I felt a little nervous, realizing that with coin #12 you are to give a gift from your heart and share wisdom or teach the recipient something. You can imagine that it might be a little intimidating to try to think of something to teach Ram Dass! As the next day passed, however, I relaxed and remembered that we are all each others teachers and we all have healing gifts to share, no matter who or how old we are or what our experiences in this life have been. Luckily, when I stepped into the house to drop off the package, Ram Dass had such a sweet easy presence, I felt totally comfortable introducing myself and the giving coin, giving him a birthday gift I had made, and sharing with him some wisdom that my teacher shared with me a few years ago...a cute anecdote about a pride of lions that demonstrates the illusory nature of our fears. He got a good chuckle out of the story, and was grateful for the gifts and coin, excited to get to pass coin #12 to another. It was a sweet experience for me to get to meet him and give my gifts. Many thanks to the UPS for the serendipitous mistake! And to the future recipients of coin #12: Enjoy the love and juice within this coin! Keep the high vibrations going, and please post here! Much love and aloha, Sarah
